How It Started

It all started with the semi-famous card decals, made at first for friends, then sold as gifts, and finally, Memorial Mahj morphed into an actual business with mahjong loving customers across the country. Memorial Mahj ships joy to people all over the US, one card cover at a time. Customers and friends kept asking where they could get my tile totes and my dice holders, which are some of my favorite things, so I added them to the product portfolio. Last, and definitely not least, I finally gave in and made the mats and shufflers friends and customers have been asking for since the beginning. Bringing a love for all things mahj to my mats, they are very specifically designed to go with a lot of different tiles and I hope you love them as much as I do!

This company stands for quality, the power of mahjong to unite and a deep love of community. We believe in supporting other women entrepreneurs and giving back to memorial charities. Every purchase supports our mission to make mahjong more beautiful, in every way, one table at a time.

Charity Partners

To become one of our partner charities, please contact memorialmahj@gmail.com. We partner with organizations and charities in memory of a loved one. Our first mat collection is benefitting the Denise Lee Dvorak Endowed Scholarship in Education, created in memory of my longhorn-loving sister, Denise. The endowment provides scholarships to future educators attending the University of Texas Austin College of Education, Denise's alma mater. Not only was Denise a beautiful, live-life-to-the-fullest, game-loving gal, she was a wonderful mom, wife, sister, friend and beloved teacher at Casis Elementary in Austin, TX. She truly had a passion for education and this endowment is the perfect way to memorialize her.
